ABOUT
As a designer I have always wanted to create items that will be loved. Be it colorful textile patterns for dresses, or minimalistic glass, retro-inspired porcelain or an art project, my goal is to evoke emotions that create lasting relations to physical objects. We need to love and care for the items we own, and use them for a long time, shall we minimize the consequences our purchases have on our planet´s future. Preferably items should live on to be inherited and survive in a second hand market too. Hence all items must be of great quality both aesthetically and materiality. To strive for this is my ambition as a designer. My inspiration often comes from nature´s many shapes, colors and patterns.
I love to work interdisciplinary and explore new materials. With my education within textiles and a long experience working in-house with design for porcelain, glass, metal, packaging, etc, I have a broad and solid foundation for my design work. I have worked closely with heritage factories in Norway, as well as factories in Central Europe and Asia. For B2B projects I often have developed items and collections in close contact with small and large customers in both private and public sector. I strive to take on the perspective of the client and understand the market the item is directed towards. I work well in close collabs, but also love to have solo time for my own projects.
